Galatians 1:9-24
1. Legalism; saved by works.
Romans 3:28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith apart from the deeds of the law.
2. Antinomianism; “against the law.”
Romans 6:1-2 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?
James 2:17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
3. Galatianism; saved by Grace, kept by Law?
Galatians 3:3 Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by the flesh?
Galatians 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.
Paul’s Warning About False Teachers vv8-9
2 Corinthians 11:13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.
Galatians 3:11 But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for “the just shall live by faith.”
